Plazm

Plazm is an independent local business in Portland, Oregon. We publish a magazine, make excellent stuff for design clients large and small, and work to promote the arts, social change, and environmental awareness.

Founded in 1991 by Portland artists as a creative resource, today Plazm is an award-winning design firm led by creative director Joshua Berger. Plazm magazine is published once a year nowadays, and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and Denver Art Museum, among others, have collected our complete catalog. We've also written and/or designed some books we really like, including "XXX: The Power of Sex in Contemporary Design."

Our design clients include local favorites like Tastebud, Northwest Film Festival, Portland Center Stage and the Cooley Gallery at Reed College. We also work with Nike, LucasFilm, ESPN, and Jantzen, among many others. We make logos, advertising, typography, websites, books, catalogues, retail experiences, CD packaging, and posters, working with incredible teams of collaborators on interactive, editorial, and branding projects.
